Default Whats so wrong with Street Tuning

Besides the fact thats its on a public street or even a back road. What so wrong with street tuning. If you have all the right equipment like a fuel manegemnt and wideband controller is there anything else that might pose as a problem. I tune jet turbines for f18's everyday @ work with your money im sure a 4 banger cant be that hard.

who says there's something wrong with it? the only real problem i see is finding a stretch of road long enough for you to do WOT pulls without putting someone else at risk.

If you have someone to drive for you then I don't think it's a big deal. If you get on the freeway, it's pretty easy to hold it in a certain cell for long enough to adjust the AFR. I do it all the time.

I would never do WOT pulls on the street. That's best done on a dyno. I use the street for driveability tuning. Most of the ignition timing is done on the dyno.

I have always done my tuning on the battleground - if anything you are in a more realistic environment and the load against your car is more consistant
