HELP!!!!! Water in the engine... suggestons needed
alright so i was cleaning my engine bay yesterday and i got water in the spark plug chamber.... when i tried getting the water out it wasn't coming out so i pulled out the spark plug and the water went INTO the engine... and now the civic will start up but not all of the chambers are firing.... YOUR SUGGESTIONS AND HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
Find out wich cylinders are not fireing, then remove the plug and disconect the fual injector on that cylinder. Now start up the motor and let the water work its way out. We did this after my friend put his lude through a huge puddle and sucked a bunch of water into his engine.

He already ran the engine unfortunatly.
I asked how much water got in to see if other damage could have been done

You should be fine. As long as you only started it up and didnt really drive it and rev it up to much. Just pop out the spark plugs and and if you want the injectors and crank it over a few times and watch the water blow out. Or use a vacumn tube and suck the water out.

I know he ran the engine, but it sounds like he ran it with the plugs still in. If he takes the plug out of the cylinder that has the water in it and then runs it, the water will spray out through the plug hole. Thats what I was trying to say. Sorry for the confusion.
