Default d15b2 block d16z6 head, timing belt issues

ive read many post on this issue and everybody has different takes on it, does anyone here know what timing belt to use on this setup, the z6 belt does not work, i have it and its too long. do i use a b2? and i dont know what vx is, when people say that. what engine and make/model car was that for? in case i need to try that 2, but the z6 is way too long. need help asap!

Are you sure you got a Z6 timing belt? I've done the same set up twice, and both times I've used a Z6 timing belt. The general rule with mini me's and timing belts is to match the belt to the head. What tensioner are you using? When I did my first mini me, I tried the B2 and VX timing belts, and both were too short.

my b2 and a6 tensioners r the same, well matchin the head to the belt isnt doenst always work. i had this z6 on an a6 block and the z6 timing belt worked, i bought a vx belt and it worked, thx

get the z6 belt but make sure it has 104 teeth...the parts stores kept messing up so i had to stand there and count the teeth so i knew it was right.

i have it its too long
the vx has 103, it works, i have it ont he engine now but its a half a tooth off
i need an adjustable cam gear to fix that, but engine runs now.
