Default d16Z6 swap into 92 Dx civic no workie??

I just replaced my d15b7 in my 1992 dx civic with a Z6 out of a 94 civic SI,

Heres what i know so far..

1. It has SPARK, FUEL, and COMPRESSION
2. the motor has the dx throttle body a couple sensors (one small white, and one small black with vaccume hose located on the back of the intake manifold, and VSS-speed sensor)
3. The original Z6 distributor did not have a coil or ICU in it so i swapped in my known-good coil and ICU out of my running distributor. I have spark. Distributor only installs in one way! ....right....cause i tried turning it 180* and it wouldn't go in.
4. I had to use my DX fuel rail because of the design of the rail, (I didn't get the si fuel line that runs from rail to filter).
5. Cranks over fine (fast), sounds like it is at least a little bit trying to fire, but it realy only fires a little when it either back fires (only happened once in all tries, or lights unburned fuel in the exhaust mani.).
6. I am using the stock DX computer as a buddy told me the car should still start and run fine without v-tec on that computer. I don't have v-tec wires run yet, since that's not a necessity.

The motor was original in a friends civic, and was running great when pulled for his GSR swap.

I need to be able to drive 250 km back to work today or tomorrow morning so any help you can come up with is much appreciated!!!!
