Default F20C exhasut ports vs. K series?

I'm buying a EG6 race car with a f20c (S2000) motor that was converted to front wheel drive with a RSX-S trany...I'm not buying the engine but I will drop in a K20a!

The owner had a set of custom header done, will they work with a K20a?

The wirring harness was from an S2000, will it work with a k20a?

The ecu is a AEM for a f20c, will it work for a k20a/

Thanks!!!

The header will not work.

only one way to find out. if not there are plenty of k swap headers available.

probably not. there are plenty of k swap harnesses available though.

shouldn't. there's an aem for k swapped vehicles though, or hondata k-pro.
Thanks!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I saw pictures of this car a while back...

I think there was a bunch of pictures floating around H-T about this time last year.

It's a eg6 that raced in the Canadian Hankook and was preped for the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship. it has TWM ITB...I will try to get pics for you guys! The owner made 211whp on a mustang dyno stock internals!

He used K series mounts

I have always been a big b18c type R fan and have own 3 on them...this will be my first K. I will get the ATS 5.06:1 FD and the 1.5way diff but will keep the engine internally stock for now (Budget reason)

is it better to leave a JDm k20a stock or buy a k20a2 and put the extra 2,000 in it?

Thanks

The regulation where I plan to race the car specify that exhaust exit need to be after the rear lower control arms

The owner had a set of custom header done, will they work with a K20a? most likely NO - maybe with extensive modification

The wirring harness was from an S2000, will it work with a k20a? NO - they are completely different... not too mention K-series has vtc
The ecu is a AEM for a f20c, will it work for a k20a - NO totally different
Thanks!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

mounts are totally different as well

Yes I went over and took a closer look..they where K-series mounts to strat with but underwent some customizing to take the f20c motor.

So all I will be keep from the seller is the sift linkage and header (will need so work to fit k)

What shift linkage/shifter box is it using?
Forget the header, buy one made for the K motor.

you can make the f20c wiring harness work, you may have to move some wires and then add the wires for the vtc to the ems, but that ems will control the k no problem.
