which HEADER vibrant or JGE?
I searched but there is almost nothing about those two headers....are they bad? I want 4-2-1 cause of ground clearance and midrange power and I also want 2.5" outlet. So if you have any other suggestion, lets hear it. Im choosing between this two:

(I found vibrant for 480 so it is under 500)
any owners here? Dynos?
tnx

What makes you so sure?
They are both knock offs, One is the common H-T knockoff of a Hytech the other is of T1R.
I would think you will be happy with either

FYI the guy selling the JG stuff on ebay has known to be VERY shady. And Javier has claimed no affiliation with him.

What is everyones deal with "if he's not a member here, he's a knock off builder"?
JGE has been around a lot longer than most of the other guys but because his header looks similar, it's a knock off? Of course there are only 3 guys who really know how to make headers, everyone else is just a cheater.

I have had a fair amount of experience with the Vibrant product line in the past. Their build quality and looks always appeared to be top notch, but their performance never usually lived up to expectations. If you look back to the "Original header test" done on this site a few years ago, they commented on how impressive the Vibrant JDM 4-1 header looked. They looked forward to seeing how it performed and when they tested it, it was the worst performer out of all headers tested. They even gave it two chances and it still underperformed.
I actually like their stuff for the most part but I also know what to expect from it performance wise. Good engineering is less about looks and more about how it performs.
The Vibrant is a knock off of the T1R 4-2-1 header design but the JGE is not a knock off design of any Hytech header I've ever seen. It's similar to the SMSP/Sparks Racing/Profab 1 piece 4-2-1 design which I also know from experience will generally outperform the T1R/Vibrant design.

I cringe every time I see that thief Javier making another dollar. Even if he made the best stuff in the industry (which he doesn't), I couldn't bring myself to buy anything from him. Funny that someone posted Javier thinks that seller is shady - he must be something special if a bottom-feeder like JG thinks he's crooked. . .

Wow - never thought I would have to explain something so simple. Try to follow.
!) Seller gets them from Javier
2) Javier is a bottom-feeding thief
3) Buying this header means a shaddy crook (Javier, in case you forgot by this point) gets money
That may not mean anything to you, but I make it a point not to help theives thrive. I guess we all have different ethical standards. . . .

Vibrant is not too far from my house, so, you'd be hard pressed to prove how much you really know about their 4-2-1 headers, or the company for that matter. i've purchased an endless amount of products from there. as for that test you speak of, there was aslo a similar test that included various high end pieces. why is it that the dc jdm 4-1 made more midrange power than the other high end headers? doesn't that mean, for the streets, the dc jdm 4-1 is worth the money? to be honest, i've only seen one test that involved any vibrant headers....only 1. therefore, i refuse to question its merit (to a certain extent) from one test on HT. lastly, the test you speak of (and you said it yourself) was the 4-1. the 4-2-1 is proven. its a fact....in both quality and performance. will it make more power than an RMF, SMSP, SSR, Hytech? probably not, but, none of those headers are similar in price range. my point is, there are many excellent headers on the market, does that mean the Vibrant 4-2-1 is no good? no it doesn't

I use to own the largest performance shop in my province a few years ago so I can assure you that I've purchased 100 times more Vibrant product than you ever will and installed it. I dealt directly with Dino Rossi Jr. when he was just getting the Vibrant side of their company off the ground and expanding their product line. I always liked Dino/Vibrant and their product, especially for the price and looks/build quality. The performance of their product line wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't the best either.

Yep, and it's also the reason why I have a DC JDM 4-1 on my car. I honestly believe it is the best cheap/mass produced header available at the moment and that header test supported that fact even though people often bash it.

Yes I did specify the 4-1 but I have yet to see any data presented anywhere that tells me that the Vibrant 4-2-1 header is a real performer as you say. That does not mean that it won't outperform the 4-1, I just haven't seen anything to show me how it would stack up. I tested a T1R header on a car and it made ok gains but I wouldn't say they were great. I would put it in the same category as the DC JDM 4-1 performance wise but even then I'm not sure I would say it's better than the DC and that's from my own personal experience.

I can get Vibrant for approx same price as DC JDM 2.5". But I want vibrant (or any other 4-2-1) because of ground clearance. DC has the worst clearance I`ve seen so far and I dont wanna risk destroying it.....even if that means little less top HP
Just to add my little 2 cents in Javier doesn’t make any of the headers. The only that happens is his stamp goes on it. The header it self does make power but it all goes by what you want to do and spend. If you want a good header that doesn’t pass smog and could make a little power then buy Vibrant or JG if you want to pass smog and really make very little power then buy a DC or JDM Type R but if you want to make some real power then you have to spend some money on something like a DTR, SMSP, Hytech, RMF or something equal to them.
Long story short flip a coin and pick heads JGE, tails Vibrant. If you’re going to spend 500 why not save a little more and have a header made for what you have done and for what you’re looking for?
As far as doing business with JG, if you live in the area then your lucky because you could just drive over to his shop when he is lagging on your chit but if you don’t, be prepared to wait and make a few phone calls and a couple of emails, oh and the best part the lovely excuses he gives for things not being on time. All in all after all that, he’s still a good guy haha he just takes forever to get your chit done.
