Default Stiffer suspension without lowering?

Our Sport Fit has problems with steep driveways. I have scraped the bottom of the stupid lip in the corner. Of course if the suspension were stiffer, I think it would happen a lot less.

My biggest complaint with the suspension is the slow oscillation you get vertically when you have regular uneven seams in concrete roads. It seems to want to make you seasick. I have felt it do this, and my wife has as well, always on concrete roads. She gets it every day on her daily commute, and she has driven our other cars, and knows the Fit is bad.

We have a stock Mazda Miata and a Jeep Wranger as well, and on the same roads they ride stiff without going into oscillations.

Is there a way to upgrade the suspension without lowering the height? I have checked Megan Racing, KW, Tein, and many others, all lowering the height.

The Fit is a rather nasty compromise between fuel economy (35MPG over 3500 miles so far) and an impractical suspension.

U can have a look at Koni and GAB. they sell shock absorbers on their own, so u can get a stiffer shock without lowering

Neither Gabriel nor Koni list the Fit in their on-line application guide.

As far as I know,no company has made adjustable shocks for the fit yet.

Of course you can buy a full coilover set up while not lowering it at all but setting the shocks to the firmest.

Which coilovers do not force you to lower a Fit? I know of none. All lower at least 1.5 inches minimum.

Why not look other places than just the shocks?

How about polyurethene bushings? Chassis stiffening bars?

So GAB is not Gabriel.

Is it possible to buy GAB in the US? I saw an earlier post that said Wings was the distributor, but the E-Mail I sent was rejected. Does anybody know a location for Wings?
