250 degrees?
Is that why the 500 degree Duplicolor engine paint I put on one burnt off within 4 minutes of running?
Is that why exhaust manifold paint is rated up to 1200+ degrees?

Usually about $8 or so. VHT Flameproof and Plasticote Manfiold Paint are some good brands. Make sure you have some time to drive around or watch your car for a while. To make the stuff stick, you've got to basically bake it on.
If you don't have an oven large enough for a header that goes up to 650 degrees (ie, a commercial oven or powdercoating oven) ... the easiest way is to install it on your car once it's dry enough, and then run it at idle for about two hours.

Turbo manifolds get hot enough to turn literally red hot. Headers get very hot as well.

Most Autozone's will carry at least black and red VHT Flameproof.
