Default koni yellow questions

i just recieved my yellows and there really aren't that much directions. i know how to put them in just don't know what some of the adujustments are. there is one it shows a picture of the strut on a vice and it shows someone pushing the other end in and twistig it. if anyone can explain to me what some of the adujstments are for or link me somewhere i can find out that would be awsome!
i'm running ground controls btw and running 195/50/15 tires and it looks like i will need to roll my fenders to get a 1.75 drop any tips or susgestions?

That's for the new ones.

I think he's talking about the old design where the adjustments have to be made with the strut out of the car.

Im in to see if anyone knows how to adjust em as well. I have the old style, and the directions just have a picture of a vice and someone twisting the shock. Not very informative and no directions for quantifying the amount of adjustment you've made.

ic...the older ones cannot be adjusted on the fly or with the use of a ****/key..it has to be pre-adjusted before installation (kinda sucks)...you turn the bottom half of the shock counter-clockwise for FIRM and vice versa for SOFT..you probably have an 88 or 89 Civic? If you switch LCA's to a 90 or 91 you can use the newer ones that can be externally adjusted...

the yellows only adjust with the **** the reds adjust by twisting the shaft.take the **** put it on the adjusting tab turn it all the opposite the direction the firm arrow points=full soft Don't run them at full hard Koni says thats a no no.
Don't set the fronts real soft and the backs real hard and try being Joe Roadracer it can cause the rear of the car to snap out uncontrollably ,don't ask, lets just say thank God for wide run out areas

this is not true, some yellows still need to be adjusted out of the car. Until a couple years ago the 88 style LCA/ ITR yellow koni had to be adjusted off the car. It is fine to run the shock anywhere in the adjustment range. do not go past the adjustment range though. I believe it is 2 turns from full soft to full stiff. Also those instruction are thrown in every box it shows both styles of shocks, its pretty stupid, and its only pictures so they dont have to make them for every language

interesting the redshiftmotersports website says on the setup page run them 1/4 turn from full stiff since they are recommended not to run at full stiff even on a full on autocross car, but then what do they know since they are one of the best autocross teams in the country. As for the adjustability maybe you are right also read the whole page at the koni site.
