I have a 96 accord that has 234K on it and I was driving it the other day its an auto and I looked down and say that the tack was sputtering in a sense. It would jump not to bad but it happens once and awhile I was wondering if you have any opinions on that. Wondering if something needs replaced or what might be wrong.

 

There is a possibility that your ignitor might be going bad...I'd have one handy anyway...prone to leave cars stranded...

 

Yeah it's the ignitor. it's a little silver box inside the distributor. Ive had the same thing happen in one of my accords.

 

That would cause the check engine light to come on right? Becuase that just came on. And thanks for the help you guys.

 

It may be your Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Get the code the for the Check Engine Light, more likely it will be the VSS.
