90-93 teg axles in a crx dx with gsr hydro trans(used to be auto)
can somebody give me some sort of walk through or direct me to the proper link as to what i have to change in order to get my 90-93 passenger side teg axle on my gsr tranny. from reading a few post's ive come to the conclusion that i need to change out the int. shaft and o ring but i dont know where to start and is it a pretty straight fowrd fix or are there any tricks to it?
just swap out the 90-93 axle for a drivers side hydro tranny axle not the int shaft. The pass side axles are the same PN and the only difference on the drivers side is the inner joint
ok ive done a little more researching and it looks like my motor might be a 93 sir motor but its an integra SIR which is the same as the gsr right?......im assuming that being it is a 93 it comes with the "Y1" style inter. shaft so what do i have to do axle wise????
Look at your int shaft you will either have an innie or an outie if you see splines sticking out of the int shaft then you need the hydro axle if you have an innie, seeing a hole with splines lining it then you need the 90-93 shaft. Make sure you take off the seals on the axle and the hub (metal on hub rubber on axle) no problems. I just put new axles in my car with a B18C type R 89 hatch and my step brothers car JDM D15 with the ZC tranny 90 hatch. His car took the 90-93 axles and mine took the 94+ axles both passenger side axles were the exact same part number and both drivers sides were the same except for the inner joint thats all that matters

It's the only seal (not the boot) on the axle it should be just inboard of the outer splines up against the joint itself

Wrong side the seals I am talking about are on the outboard side (hub/wheel) these seals make it impossible for the wheel to turn after you tighten up the axle nut
