clear coat messed up on my vision cf mirrors can i fix?

Default clear coat messed up on my vision cf mirrors can i fix?

i had these mirrors for about 6 months when they started to fade i dont know why and it makes me mad. i paid 300 for these and i would like to fix them. thanks for any help
driver side


passenger side is fine

Same thing happened to mine and a few others that I know of. The only solution is so sand and re-clear or paint.

Sorry to say but it is starting to happen to mine too.... I've had them for 2 years and only driven the car in the summer. (in Canada...) I will be sanding them down and reclearing them when they get bad enough.

i sweare there is a post on here of some guy that used peanutbutter on his faded CF hood and it worked fine

Yea, try the peanut butter technique, if it comes back to normal, try to wax and polish it to protect it from the sun.

Your lucky its not a Carbon fiber hood Pain in the *** to sand down because the clear coats pretty thick!!
