Default Tappets click?

I am getting this clicking sound which seems to be coming from my engine head. This happens upon acceleration and deceleration. How do I know if it is my tappets? This started to happen when I switched out to Mobil1 5w-50 oil.
I have adjusted my valve lash only a month ago.

Based on my experience in the past with valve lash adjustments on other cars, it seems that following the recommended clearance will always result in noisy tappets even with the lower tolerance figure. I followed the spec though for this adjustment. Should I use a "0.005 instead of a "0.006 clearance?

You can adjust them towards the tight end of the recommended spec, and also make sure that the engine is completley cold before doing the adjustment. I'd also switch back to a 5W-30 oil, which is the recommened viscosity.

I have already adjusted them to the tight end, but it still ticks in the morning until the engine warms up. I was thinking of adjusting them to a tighter clearance out of the recommended spec. It could be the oil that is too thin casuing this. It also ticks randomly when the engine is warmed up.. but the tick is softer.

My oil is only 1000miles old. I'll probably use this oil till 5000miles before changin out. Is there a possibility that the oil is the root problem here?

Okay, I just got another feedback from a fellow forumer. He mentioned that it could be the VTEC loss motion assembly. The pin that locks the rockers might have become worn down and vibrating in the rocker. Is this possible?
