scratch hood on clear coat how can i fix it ? could i use a scratch remover polish? or just leave it?

 

if its into the Gelcoat your SOL. But if not you may be able to wetsand and buff it.

 

Yeah it depends on how deep the scratch is. General rule of thumb if you can catch your fingernail in it you probably are not going to be able to buff it out. If it fails the fingernail test then you move on to sanding and possibly re-spray. Pic of damage?

I also have a CF hood and i guess its age has gotten the best of it along with previous owner. Its begun to look really dull and flimsy in the middle. Thers not scratches on it but id think i would be looking for the same fix as you. Would a new clearcoat be the solution? If so, what kinda repair cost is that? Im not trying to thread jack. Jst thought this might fall into the same category.
