Default what would be a good start for a h22 build?

I am looking to do a mild all motor h22 build on a budget and would like to get some opinions on a good start. What bolt-ons would I get some pretty impressive results from?

yes tunning on these motors with minor bolt-ons can usually get you pretty close to 200whp. Nice power in an EG

DH racing is good, I have one. Phearable.net can give you a pretty good base tuned ecu for a fair price.

The best way to get good reliable power is to go f22 crank and rods or h23 same thing. Try to pick up those parts or h23 block for cheap run it on some jdm pistons or type s. Bigger stroke more compression cant go wrong there. If the budget allows for it go h2b with a gsr tranny or something and guarantee you will be very satisfied with the results. A good header, tb, intake manifold will yield quite a bit of power.

what would be a good modification to the h22 tranny? I dont have the money to go h2b.

I hear theres a header that lays down 25 whp. Does anybody know who makes a good custom fab NA header?

he didnt say which h22 block he was using in the h22a4 block it uses 55 mm mains vs the h22a and h22a1 which use 50mm mains. Therefore in an h22a4 you cannot use and h23 crank. And the h22a and h22a1 blocks are the same as the h23 just different crank, a 4.3 mm increase in stoke, and yes its the same as the f22. you cant just say run a larger bore and stroke with these pistons without taking into account how that will affect your compression ratio.

</TD></TR></TABLE> Thats great and all bringing up your points there. All these build ups are simple and dont go overboard on compression or modification. And yes I do know what the compression ratio will yeild. Most dont run the a4 block anyways cuz its newer hard to find and probably more expensive.

Tom at camp1320 makes a good h22 header... or you could get an AN-R.com header, or a RMF header....all good. Throw in a stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel for starters on the h22 tranny.

A good mod would be an MFactory FD. There are no headers that will give you 25hp with minor bolt ons..

Neptune RTP, hands down, is the way to tune a H22.

It's not cheap if it breaks your engine.

Wow... nice necro bump rookie. Can you be more specific about what year/model/engine/transmission combination you have so an engine management choice could be recommended please ?
