Test drove an S2K--diff between model years?
Just test drove an '07 s2k. i'm looking at buying an s2k (prob '04-05), vs. bmw z3/z4 vs. boxster. leaning towards the s2k because of reliability, insurance, and cost.
thoughts on the drive: i'm 6'2, 185# and fit in the car without a problem--didn't seem cramped. i was worried about this. there is really no storage space. it wasn't as fast as i thought it would be, but it also wasn't as noisy or rough-riding. i'm now looking at differences between model years. i've found conflicting info. a couple of questions:
looking at an ap2. any real differences from '04 onward? looks like the stereo changed, with headrest speakers coming in '05 (?), though it appears they're not that hard to add on to earlier years. is that true?
a few conflicting reports on when traction control became standard--not sure who to believe on that one.
the stereo appears to be a standard DIN fitting, which is refreshing. if i pop in an aftermarket headunit, what needs to be done to get the steering controls to work?
anything else i should know before buying?

thanks. looks like the traction control is only on 06+ models. too bad.
every other search i do ends up in an ap1 v. ap2 debate. is there a source that lays out all the changes from year to year?
