well, with that crank, how high do you plan to rev? with the 3s, they'll carry power clear to 9500+ do you want to take your motor that high?
I think the 2s will be sufficient.

You think the Pro3's will carry that high on a 95mm crank? I would say for sure on anything less than 91mm, but its rare to see a setup make power past 8500 on a 95-98mm stroke.

Its not so much the stroke that says when the power is made, its the cams. different profiles and setups determine where in the rpms peak power is made. The pro3s love RPMS. Pro2s too.

here is an 85x95 motor with pro1s. nothing too fancy in that motor. Thats just where the cams told it to make power.

from all the research i have seen the 95mm crank wont carry power til mayb 8,500 rpm

but seeings it is a 84mm bore it might make the rs ratio a little better.. who knows...</TD></TR></TABLE>

oh, and bore size will not affect the rod/stroke ratio.

peak power in that motor looked like 8700rpms..its safe to say that pro1's will make power to 9~9.1k i believe.. infact i believe i've seen pro 2's STOP making power around 9.5k..maybe alittle under..i've tuned a few cars with some pro1's and suprising the car didn't wanna stop reving until the mid 9's..i also believe every motor is different..as far as we know thats a 11.5 CR motor or even 11.1 CR.. i rev my car out to 9100rpms, and i run the regular s2s2's on my c5. my cr is around 11.8~12.0 and i still think i'm undercammed.

What will the motor be used for? Road Racing? Drag Racing?
Where will power need to be made?

I agree. all motors are different, but cams are designed for a certain rpm range. you cannot expect to build a motor with pro1s and rev to 8000. you need a different cam.

btw, that motor was 13.5:1

i was in no way, downing your post.. infact your completely right..the primary lobes dont matter..the vtecs do..if your not reving out the motor to the max the cam out then it isn't sufical enough.. why buy a cam that makes power from 3-10k when ur only doing 1.5~8.1k..its very stupid..infact 13.5 is huge..that motor is undercammed if anything
