I THINK I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, ITS SMELLS LIKE GAS I PERSONALLY THINK ITS UR TUNE. UNTILL I GOT A GOOD TUNE IT SMELLED BAD AND I THINK U SHOULD HAVE GOT MORE POWER THAN 180 CAUSE I GOT 188 ON A B18C WITH A BUILT HEAD AND CAMS WITH A STOCK BLOCK.
Same with me too they said i was maxing out my injectors and fuel pump also see if ur fuel pressure is too high, cause mine was. I also have a dent in my dc but after i got mine retuned my car runs super good . Also another question what tuner u using and do u have a problem at idle

Why does your evap being open to the atmosphere matter ? Or do you mean open as in water may get in ?

If your evaporative emissions system is open to the atmosphere, raw fuel vapor can escape into the air. You would smell gas if this was the case.
