What's the minimal wheel size needed to make the Dual piston legend brake upgrade ?

I have one more question, I have prelude calipers and they don' t have the "caps" taht can be see in this picture:


They look like those on this one:


Do I need the "caps" ? I found the first pic on a legend caliper thread.

most big brake kit say to use 16' to 17' or bigger

 

most 15" stock and aftermarket rims will clear them
