Default torque loss (HELP)

I have a major torque loss due to my custom exhaust i called myself letting my friend perform on my car.. U wanna know?????? he told me 2.5 exhaust was going to be too big due to my car being stock so, I was like I don't care just do it because it was free!!!!!!!!! So he done 2.25 piping with a side pipe, which really does not look to bad (kinda sexy ) but due to the new piping I lost all my low RPM power. On the other hand, my top end has improved very well I also put a few mods as far as intake, dam that's it.... what else can i do??? any ideas... maybe pulleys I'm looking for my low end torque back..........
