Default 12.5:1 do I need race gas

I just built a b16b that has 12.5:1 pistons, should I run race gas or just have a good tune?

Depends on the octane. But get a good tune both ways

No, just someone who knows how to tune the car and a decent set of cams.

The motor can be tuned for 100 octane, or 91 with some sacrifice in performance. I have used both the 100 octane tune and the 91 octane with my 2.0L 12.5:1 ITR. They both work well; especially since I seldom even get into VTEC just driving around town. The car has enough power that I seldom hit the throttle percentage requirement necessary to activate VTEC.

I ran skunk2 pro3 cams and pro series valvetrain, eagle rods, aem cam gears, fpr, fuel rail, chiped ecu, and a few other goodies.
