if you want you can. people WILL buy it just because its cheaper. i mean do as you wish but personally and from the threads ive seen about the lsd from them its not the best quality. also i believe the only other lsd that isn't oem or in our case jdm is quaife and its hard to comapre to those.

There many thread on the OBX LSD, and most have had good turnouts. Many people on HT have opted for it since its about half the price of the Quaife LSD. People who purchase it, usually diassemble it for inspection and put the washers in the right order. A lot of people like it, and there are a few people that sell it on HT so its competitive.

EDIT https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1752849
This is what should be done bfore installation, and then the LSD should work fine. Seen them on a few 400whp setups.

i have a hard time believing that you will have a successful business if you base what your business sells off of one person on the internet (no offense to IIVIIoOkY). the obx lsd is not that bad of a product. i would trust it on a 300-400 hp setup. i shooting for between 600-700 hp and im not sure that anyone has been there with the lsd and i dont want to pave the way...

Maybe print out this thread and ship it with the OBX LSD.
HOW TO FIELD STRIP AN OBX LSD
Cheap and fast won't be good.
Its not worth the risk in my opinion. You get an LSD for 50% and take a risk on having failure when a Quaife has gone through abuse for years.
Just my .02---I never cheap out with builds.

seems to be working well for me. although dont follow the same procedure as the b,d series guys do with setting the clearances. our tranny has taper roller bearings and you need to measure the torque required to start the diff to spin. I had to reopen the tranny to re do the clearance since I used the b series procedure the first time.

There have been plenty of people that have gotten along just fine with one of these. All it is is just a carbon copy of a quaife, manufactured cheaply.

Tear it down, tighten everything to spec, put it back together. Chances are, you'll be fine.

For peace of mind, buy a quaife, for peace of wallet, buy an obx.

Search.

Honestly, why are you wanting to save 400 bucks to buy a part that has to be rebuilt and doesn't come with a lifetime warranty? Save your money and buy a quaife. Do it right the first time or pay 3x as much doing it twice. End of story.
