Default 18 in tire selection

I'm going to be putting some 18x 7.5 wheels on my 95 accord. I know big heavy wheels, but accords have huge wheel wells and I don't plan on going fast . I'm considering running......
- 205/40's (.25inches bigger then stock diameter). I dig that they are close to stock and have a low pro look, but I'm scared of the harsh ride.
-215/40's (.6 in bigger)- leaning towards these.....
-225/40's (almost 1 in bigger) Seen them on an accord, makes the car sit much higher and look awkward even when lowered with no wheel gap. but I dig the protection

Any experiences, advice or recommendations is apperciated

If you're worried about a harsh ride, then don't get the 18" wheels.

Don't do something that creates one problem (18" wheels, short sidewalls, harsher ride), and then do something to compensate that just creates more problems than it solves (oversized tires, rubbing, slower acceleration, speedometer/odometer error).

If you want 18" wheels, get the right tire size for your car.

What model '95 Accord do you have (version, engine, and body style)?

Get 215/35-18 (1.1 percent smaller diameter than stock) if you don't want the tires to rub. Rubbing is a real possibility with 205/40-18, and anything bigger is going to be even worse. Stick with 215/35-18.
