Default PISTON REMOVAL and p30's CONTINUED

I wanted more info on whether or not it is a reccommended method of removing pistons; heating and pressing a wrist pin out rods or just heat only. I wanted to purchase a shop press for home use is the reason why i am asking. BTW, i have eagle rods , will jdm p30's fit the rods?

Eagle rod use a floating wrist pin design unlike stock which uses a pressed pin. The P30 pistons were designed around the pressed pin. If you plan on using the Eagle rods, use pistons made for floating pin, i.e. aftermarket forged pistons.

In any case it's easy to damage the pistons when installing/removing the pin if you don't support the piston properly. I'd take it to a machine shop.
