Default oil cooler question

it has the 2 nozzles off it for coolant.. question is can i run them both into the water pipe or is there a certian way i need to hook them up?

ill take a pic if necessary.. i have a gsr water pipe so it has the extra fittings for coolant lines

Normally the hose comes off the water pipe and into the cooler, then comes out of the other side of the cooler and into the fitting in the block right by the oil filter area. I suppose you could run it directly into the water pipe from both sides...as long as there's some circulation there should be some cooling effect.

You cannot run both to the the water pipe, one needs to go to the block, different pressures and temps. Engines 101, one side of the pump has low pressure the other high pressure therefore flow.

You are going to have to drill and tap a spot, they are there on the LS blocks, just not tapped.

It is in a water passage, if the block is out no big deal.

That is a better idea, unless the engine is out of the car.

On my track car, I eliminated the stock oil cooler. I run a Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate with a Mocal 25 row cooler and -12AN plumbing.

What I did was just plug the fittings in the water pipe and the block. I haven't had any cooling problems. Water temp reaches a max of 210F to 220F.
