Default Cleaned Interior

A before and after from when I cleaned my Accord a couple days ago.

First off, I ended up using a product called Blue Coral Upholstery Cleaner. It was iffy on the cleaning portion of it, but it smells awesome (new fresh car scent).

Ok, so, heres where it all starts...

This is down by the bottom of the shifter, really dirty , but I didnt really bother cleaning that part too good because I didn't want to get any all-purpose cleaner on important stuff.

Down by the e-brake.

And a close-up of the carpet near the e-brake.

I decided instead of leaving the carpet in, I was going to take it out of the car so I could really clean it good. But first, I had to take the seats out and this is what it looked like...

Driver's seat taken out, notice the big stain from god knows what . I can't seem to find the picture from the passenger's side with no seat.

Anyways, now that the seats were taken out, it was time to take the carpet out from the car. It seems like it's really hard to do, but its not. There's like 4 push rivets, unbolt the seat belts from the side, take that big black foot rest thing off from the driver's side down by the pedals, and behind the console the rug is connected you you have to cut it somehow. Oh, and you can't forget about removing the back seats, easy. Once the carpet was out, I decided to clean under it. I mean why not right? Since the carpet is out.

Before:

After:

Still some spots here and there, but those were not comming off as hard as I scrubbed. But hey, it looks hell of a lot better than what we started out with. Oh and if you're wondering why my gauges are taken out, it's because I changed the bulbs to all hyper white (no pictures of them though ).

Now that that was cleaned, it was time to attack the carpet. Here's what it looked like before with all the stains...

Close up of where the e-brake and passenger's seat SHOULD be.

Close up of the other side of where the e-brake and driver's seat SHOULD be.

Close up of in front of where the passenger's seat SHOULD be (where your feet go when you sit in the car)

And finally, a close up of in in front of where the driver's seat SHOULD be.

After:

Sorry for the blurryness.

Passenger's side.

E-brake area (don't worry i got that brown spot off the e-brake handle )

E-brake and shifter area (still a little dirty by the shifter, but I didn't want to mess with any of that).

Down by the pedals.

Behind the passenger's seat.

Behind the driver's seat (missed a spot ).

So there you have it, my cleaning job. It could have been better if I had the right product because I didn't think the stuff I used to clean worked to well. I'll probably be do this all again in the summer anyways. Atleast it's hell of a lot cleaner now and smells good .

My car, though I'd post it.

Waiting for my black corner lights because my old ones had a water leak in them and I had to put these ugly APC corners on .

Thanks! I'm think about taking it out again and using something more powerful. Just have to find the right thing and probably clean up down by the shifter. I'm happy with it though. What I have to worry about now is closing my sun roof and windows if it's going to rain because everything is still damp from me being stupid and leaving everything open when I went back to school yesterday and it down pouring .

I didnt clean my headliner yet. I just focused on cleaning the disgusting carpet seeing as it took my basically all day to clean it . But, my headliner is leather so I would suggest some leather cleaner that you can find at Walmart or Target, hah, that's where I would go.

I used shout spray to clean some hard spots on mine and it actually worked. Now I have to do what you did to clean my whole carpet. Mine looks the same as your before picture almost exactly!

Yeah that's what I did before I ended up doing this. But, I just cleaned the visible spots. Thank god I took the carpet out and cleaned it because it was disgusting. I think the next time I take it out I'm just going to do what other people do, take the carpet out, dump a bottle of simple green on it, let it sit for a bit, spray it, and let it dry. Seems to work pretty good from what I've seen.

Well i started it around 1:30pm and finished around 7:30pm. So yeah, a little time consuming. But, I think it was worth it. I mean look at what it was before and then after. I'm happy, but I think I can do better hence why I'm going to do it again soon. And if you really want me to do a write-up I sure can. It just might be a while because there's more pictures that need to be taken.

DOOD that would be so great. And make a nice Accord FAQ. I never took out any interior parts, so this would be great. I would greatly appreciate it if you can do it. Thanks man. (No rush, I have 3 more months)

OMG I think I have those same tires. Did you buy them at sears?

Alright, deffinitely then. 3 months is a good time frame for me. But, the next nice day and if I have time I'll do the taking out and picture part of it and have the write-up done ASAP after that.

Uhh, honestly I don't remember where i got them, haha. They're Toyo Spectrums? Or something like that. Need new ones though, >50% of tread left cuz of me being an idiot a while back . But, I'll save the new tires for the new rims which will hopefully be soon.

No problem, my pleasure. Hey, if it will help others then why not do it up. I guess once I have it done I'll just post it as a new topic?

Haha, I love my Toyo's. I want some Proxies.

You should deffinitely get some. I mean it doesn't work amazing, but it will make your interior look somewhat better and make your car smell good.

Thanks! I plan on lowering it, don't worry. It's just going to take time.

Thanks And I know APC sucks. Those are just tempoary corners because my DEPO's had a water leak in one of them. I have new ones on the way I'll have some better pictures soon.
