Has anyone had trouble with their '02 Accord's transmission?...Mine jerks awfully when idling in N and then shifting to D ...also does the same when coming to a stop sign and starting up again. Shift from N to D takes 2-3 seconds to engage and then JERKS into gear. Honda says...no recall or extended warranty on '02 models...car has only 43,000 miles on it...anyone?

 

Have you checked your trans fluid to see if it's low?

 

if the fluid level is OK then you are looking at a new trans.....yet another 6th gen bites the dust

 

I have an '01 accord, there was a class action lawsuit vs. Honda for a transmission problem. the result was extened warranty on tranny

 

98,99,02 are considered on a Good Will basis only.

02? Call Honda of America and ask for assistance with your car,. BE NICE and they will most likely help you....
