Brake Pads? Good Price?
I am looking for a good set of front brake pads because the ones I have now are just about gone. I need some help to find good affordable brakes. I did a search for it already but they talk about big expensive set ups. I am wondering who else makes brakes for the RSX Type-S and also the price.
Any information will help!
Thanks

What does "expensive" mean? I don't know how many of the aftermarket brake pad manufacturers make pads for the RSX-S but I know Carbotech makes some and all of their pads are excellent. They run between maybe $80 and $130 per front set, depending on the compound. The street compounds will be at the lower end of the spectrum. Check http://www.carbotecheng.com
The RSX-S uses the D829 front pad, and the D537 rear pad (same configuration as the S2000).
The only pad that Carbotech makes for this setup for track use is the Panther Plus (front and rear). The XP is a race-only pad.
They may attempt to recommend the 912 compound for street use, but past experience in many applications have shown it to be noisy, though the cold stopping is good.
The rear pad (D537) is available in Axxis Ultimate, but not the fronts.
For street driving, I recommend sticking with the OEM Honda pads. For track use, until I come out with something better, try Panther Plus front and Axxis Ultimate rear.
