1980 Civic Options...
I found a Running 1980 civic for under 500 dollars.
I was thinking of doing a "restoration on it"
Personally I haven't seen one on the road since i was little and my uncle had one lol I've been looking for beaters under 4-5 bux just to kick around but all i find is 89-91 molested hatchs
Even worth picking this up? or should i just keep my hunt going

I dunno know about 1980... at least with the 84-87 you could do a motor swap.. 88-91 are ideal, but you're right most of them look like they've been driven through the pepboys covered in superglue. Mine isn't pretty, but it's stock.. Only the STD trim level, not even a DX..
ps. gonna put time attacks on that 1980

work's would be sweet.. maybe you could round up some dual carbs and get someone to make you a header.. an 07 color you say? hmm... we're not looking at a fiji blue 1980 project in the works are we?
I'd roll an 1980 that would be sweet. Especially to see it on track and if you could put a little D-series VTEC in there.
Or some sweet Weber side drafts.

Screw "or", Weber Carbed SOHC VTEC would be sweet! lol
A friend of mine has a CVCC and I'd totally rock it, but I probably wouldn't be happy untill I did somthing with the motor.
