Does anyone know what it takes to make the car alarm for an 02 RSX-S go off? Meaning, if you smash the window, or jump on the front end, will the alarm go off. I know that it will if the car is turned off and the doors are locked, if you open it from the inside it will sound. There are two reasons why I am asking this. 1. Last night someone smashed the window out of my neighbors really nice Prelude. 2. I have heard quite often of RSX-S getting stolen on HT, and I am just curious if it's because they have their alarm disabled, or their doors not locked or whatever it may be. i believe that its unlocking the doors/popping the hood from the inside of the car. i did that at the dealership with my car and it went off

 

doors, hatch, hood.

 

Can anyone elaborate? I guess what i am after is it's (alarms) sensitivity.

 

my stock alarm is so faint i wouldnt be able to hear it if someone broke into it in my driveway.

is there a way to turn up the volume on it or something?

Replace the stock horns with these (Model 200) http://www.wolo-mfg.com/elec.htm You can get them at PepBoys. I have used these in a few of my previous vehicles and put a set on my girls corolla. The sound clip on the site is horrible. But damn are these things loud as hell. BTW paint them black.
