Default Plug Indexing

I know this will make slightly more power, when i say slightly i mean slightly. This is according to a few books i have read and a few guys that have built honda challenge motors. I have been told it depends on the shape of your combustion chamber and how the plug is positioned in there which way you should face the plug. Does anyone have anymore info on that ?

I believe the "open" face side of the spark plug should face toward the intake.
I think you are going to need to use washers so you can get them to face the right way and at the same time, be able to torque them to down to specs.

there has been gains but not much. after my build im going to do it. even if it does not make any more power i have heard it has a better idle and smoother low-end.

yea i know you need to use washers and torque them. But the thing ive heard many differences on is which way to face them. On here most ppl have said intake but i talked to a few guys who teach performance classes and they said the opposite, however idk if hondas differ from most other applications.

And yes i know that the results are minimal but hey all it could do is help and doesnt cost anything

As I understand it it is not necessary and probably wont benifit hondas because of the shape of the C. chambers..

yes the insight does have factory indexed plugs. 4 different ones. everything is special order on that car.

and it should be to the exhaust side. that is where you want your burn.
but i believe it is more of a matter of flame travel so it goes out more equal from center. the side electrode shrouds the other side of the chamber
