**anyone with a LS Skunk2 intake manifold?**
i was thinkin about gettin one of these to improve my high end... was everything complete replacement? ive heard of people having trouble on the install. i wanted to make sure everything i take off my stock manifold is swapped back on the Skunk2 manifold. no extra holes.. or hoses not used? just making sure...
those of you with a Skunk2 intake manifold on your boosted LS... did it make a noticable difference in power?

Re: **anyone with a LS Skunk2 intake manifold?** (DRAGLS)
I HAVE A SKUNK MANI ON MY BOOSTED LS.
Well, i had it on, before i boost, so i couldn't tell u how much it gained during boost, but when i was n/a..i could really feel a kick at around 5000 rpm.. but anything below that, i didnt noticed much.
as for the install.. i had only minor problems. where coolant lines hook up.. on the skunk, they had like a extra hole or bung that i had to plug up, and another thing was, they had a extra vacuum port. i pluged it up when i was running n/a, but it was quite useful when i boosted. i didnt have to use as many tees.
oh yeah.. you know that sensor on top of you stock mani right now? your not gonna be able to plug that back in. i for got what it was for, but i think if i remember correctly, it ran coolant to the throttle body. people i've spoke too, said it wasnt really needed.
Hope this helps.

How can info from somebody who has never used an ls mani be any good? I bet if someone snuck in and installed the ls mani on this dudes ride while he was sleeping he'd **** his pants when he drove to work because of all the torque he gained.
I've used the skunk2 on my boosted ls and it took so much lowend away that it wasn't worth the extra hp on top.

Ive had both.
Install went ok. It doesn't fit that great, u have to hit it with a mallet to get it on.
It definitly changed the power curve though. It traded my low end response and midrange from the LS manifold for top end torque w/ the skunk 2.. LS suffers most in the top end so thats why I choose to do it.
its pretty simple bolt on mod that helps top end. Hurts low end.

this was when his setup was not tunned and running very rich with the greddy bluebox. Now that he's tunned i'm willing to bet anything that you'll only lose abotu 3-8tq from 1,ooo-4,000rpms but gain 8-15whp above 4,500rpms!
You should try swaping on theSkunk2 manifold agian then the accutate numbers/resluts will speak for themselves. Either way you setup is still hella nice and a street killer!
