Default Detailing new paint?

I got a paint job on my car back in feburary 07. i was wondering if it would be okay to have my car detailed, would it ruin the paint in anyway? cause my car doesnt look as shiny as it was when it came outta the shop. i want it too look like that again.

With a new paint I'd just do a good wax job. If it was a legitimate paint job there's no need for an orbital polish.
