Default Exhaust too loud... options?

Hi, this is my first real question here. I'm the one with the recent unknown soldier... it came with a 2.5" és catback (with stock looking muffler) and some hi flow cat... other than that, the car is stock, as far as I know... but I have now come to the conclusion the exhaust is too loud for my personal tastes... If I were to put on a mugen twin loop, or similar "silenced" exhaust, would it make enough of a difference in lowering the volume... or should I just go back to stock... and if I do go stock, am I really missing much??... the sacrifice for hp... personally, I'd rather hear the engine...

do I have any other options for shushing the pipes? thanks in advance. Still learning.

Have you thought putting in a resonator?

mugen twin look or hytech twin loop + 22" resonator = performance with a quieter sound...

Honestly, with out a 2.5" header, intake and 2.5" catalytic converter, an exhaust alone won't do much.

I would switch back to stock until you decide to do intake, header, cat AND exhaust.

If you do all those mods, the exhausts mentioned above along with the Fujitsubo RM-01A are good options, I don't like exhaust noise and I have been pretty happy with the RM-01A.

I just drove about 100 miles with my twin loop at about 80-90 MPH.

The sound is nice, and you can hold the throttle in a position that you can't even hear it.

HTH.

thanks guys, looks like I have a few options... The dude who sold me the car says he has a twin loop we can try, so we'll start there, and see what happens.
