I need help please!! Rough Idle 1000rpm-1600rpm pulsating!!!
Ok here's the thing. My fuel pump went bad on my 89 CRX SI a few weeks back. I just replaced it and the car was running fine, for a day. Now when I first start the car in the morning before it's warm it's idling at 2000 rpm, not pulsating.... Once it gets warm though, after like 15 mins. It starts pulsating while stopped from 1000 to 1600 rpms back and forth back and forth. I don't know much about my car I just started working on them and I have no cash to go back to the garage. It's probably something stupid. Any ideas? it would be greatly appreciated.
Could be a lot of things...
1.Coolant
2.iacv
3.Kink in the coolant lines (intake manifold through throttle body to iacv and back down)
4...?
5.Vacumme (sp?) leak.
Just my .02 cents or what i've done to stop my surging.

Good stuff
You may also want to check that your throttle plate is closing as it should, that your throttle cable is adjusted properly and your idle speed isn't set too high.

Now how do u check for a vacuum leak?? I checked my hoses I didn't hear any whistling. I jjust replaced my upper radiator hose but I couldn't see anything wrong... And also what's the iacv? Thanks guys.

Whats up danny, its eric.
When did you replace the upper radiator hose? was it after the fuel pump and right before it started surging?
I'll take a look at it later today or tomorrow, I guarantee you that I will fix it for you.

Did you just bleed the system at the rad cap or with the bleed screw next to the upper rad hose?
I have a similar problem after replacing the hose between the back of the intake mani to the TB that had coolant in it.

Start the car, turn heater fan on warm/high, top off the radiator with coolant, put the cap on then crack the bleeder screw until coolant comes out. If you still need more coolant repeat steps. Simple stuff
