'94 Civic - How do I make the headlights brighter?
For some reason, the headlights on my '94 Civic DX don't seem to be as bright as they should be.
The doofus who sold the car to me didn't give me an owner's manual, so I have no idea how anything works or whatever (and Chilton manuals are the worst, too).
I will be taking a 2250 mile trip to Indiana in August, so I need to get my car ready. Any suggestions on how to make them brighter, and how to adjust them as well?
Thanks
Mark

First, pick up a set of quality bulbs such as the recently introduced Philips X-treme Power. Then read the information here regarding aiming. I've found that there is always some fine-tuning involved after the initial aiming, which you can assess after a quick trip around the block at night. Finally, if you want to get the most out of your headlights, you can wire them using a relay setup, as described here.
