Default Hi Guys!

Hey guys! I'm Andy Bai, a 1st year at UC Irvine, and happy to be part of Honda Tech.

I drive a '01 LX coupe, and I love that car so much. I wanna mod my car, but it seems to me there aren't really alot of mods available for the LX. So I wanna ask you guys (especially those with LXs) if you know any sites that sells a plethora of parts for the LX. Thanx!

Not much of anything on eBay that I'd put money towards.

Personally, I'd stick with suspension, brake, and other handling upgrades until you can afford either a turbo or a K-swap.

A good place to start, as far as parts go, would be http://www.dezod.com .

yeah!! keep that enthusiastic sharade going. because when you find out that your engine is weak, your car can only look cool, and not go to fast you will be in the same boat as me! ^_^

i started by painting my lights instead of buying after markets. i polyurthane or what ever its called complete lip kit, i also got a HID system from the sponsored market section of the forum.

as for performance i like to get my stuff in brand names except for

Intake tubing from e-bay , K&N filter from local autozone.

im looking for a nice noise supressed catback exhaust. and i got some parts for my home made turbo kit...

currently have a Mitsubishi Turbo, RSX fuel injectors, Porsche BOV (blow off valves) and a Greddy E-manage.

when you get the performance parts you want take yuour car to a tuner. im aiming for 200 hp or more. i want to do autocross and i wont need more than 200hp especially since i want to focus on accel.

hope that helps

Im a fellow 01 LX owner.

The only thing us 01 LX'ers lack is the ability to upgrade rear sway bars.

This is a great upgrade but requires the use of the progress rear sway adapter kit.

I currently run this kit am NOT impressed. I will be replacing some crappy pieces they ship out, with fabbed pieces. ( PM me if u have any questions and i will get into more detail).

Other than that we are pretty much all in the same boat, Coil overs, brakes, are al interchangeable through the years 01-05.

I would hold off doing ANYTHING to the engine, as NO BOLT ONS will give u any power. Start by modifying your suspension/brakes, then when u can afford it jump up to a turbo kit or K swap.

WElcome to H-T!

if you have an auto, additional power will be hard to extract if your sticking with your motor, even when turbo'd

Then based on that, I guess engine mods would mean nothing then. Maybe not even an AEM V2 intake or Greddy exhaust can do anything .

They'll make a different noise. That's about it, though.
