Default Referee....

Okai.. So I was just on my way to COURT of all places...
And I get pulled over for "no front plate"
Well cop pops my hood. and all I have is a ZCvtec Sohc... with a DC header.. and an aftermarket intake. Aswell as a 2.25 exhaust with cat.. to a es oval.. My car is still hella loud tho..
My car is a 92 si hatch.. so it came stock with a d16z6... Which is equivelant to the zcvtec...
There might be a lil more compression and a bigger cam.. and I think the intake mani is missing one or 2 things.

Well I have a couple of questions.....
Since I have no carb sticker should I put My stock exhaust manifold back on?
I have the stock intake...
Now heres where The hard part might be...
My intake manifold is jdm... And I think it is missing a few emission components...
I do have a USDM one.. that I will prolly have to throw on..
Should I?
If I had the money I would just swap to a B series before I went to the ref...
But Im not working at the moment so Im broke...
My buddy has a stock exhaust that I will prolly need to borrow.

Any other ideas or input is welcome and appriciated.

I am beginning to hate CA more and more day by day...
Oh and does anyone know how much it costs for an appointment with the ref? and how long it will take before I can get one?

YO,

You need to convert it to USDM to pass which is pretty much intake and exhaust systems and all USDM smog related equipment for that motor. Also the motor must be same year as your car or newer. Dont sue me if im wrong but I did a search a buncha times and I believe I am right.

Damn PO PO's

They say to protect and serve I say they Harass and disturb. ha ha
Just kiddin Coppers NOT!! NOT!! NOT!! Hope that confuses you Piggly Wigglies.

PEACE

Your DC header should have a CARB stamp on it that they can look up for reference. If your intake isnt CARB legal i would suggest you find a stock one or someone who can loan you their AEM CARB certified intake.

it usually is just attached by a screw onto a tab of the stock intake manifold....look at your hood to see if there is a vacuum diagram that shows it. as for the ref im not real sure because im in PA

Okai I wish the manifold on my car still had the one vacuum port that this thing goes to so I could just take it off.. and put it on this manifold.. but now I gotta switch the entire manifold out all cuz of this stupid little USELESS solenoid...
DAMN YOU REFEREE!!!
Im pretty sure I need it...

But anyone from CA know for sure?
and... if I fail the 1st time do I get another attempt?
Maybe I can attempt the inspection with just my stock header.. stock intake.. stock exhaust.. and hope Im good.. or is it just more of a hassle to come back again?
and have to put on my usdm manifold..
Since this is SOHC.. and all... maybe they wont nit pick as much..
Iono.. I could be wrong..
AND!!! they cant say **** about my block saying zc if everything is right... right?

You californians and your silly smog laws. Nice place to visit, but I dont drive there. I, on the other hand, could run full jdm, with a test pipe and still be cool. Oh yeah, and missouri is doing away with inspections. Carb approved? WTF is that. LOL. The midwest may not be the epicenter of the world, but at least we can drive whatever the hell we want.
