95 Civic sedan front end questions
Hello. I just bought a 95 Civic Sedan in rough shape. the front bumper cover is a bit damaged. My question are, 1.can I use a nice front bumper cover from a coupe, since it looks better and has cutouts for foglights? 2.How do the fog lights/brackets mount up, onto the bumper cover or the bumper bar? 3. Do I need to change the reinforced bumper bar to make it fit? 4. Do the 92-95 Civic coupes and sedans share the same hoods? They look the same, but need to make sure. I have a 85 Civic CRX and it shares no front end stuff with the Civic sedan/hatch. Thanks for any help.
1. the bumper from a coupe will not fit a sedan without some modifications 2. the foglights mount up differently on the sedan than from the coupe. which one are you asking about? 3. not really sure if youd need to change it. 4. no they dont share the same hoods either. nor do they share corner lights, headlights, or fenders.
I saw a thread when i first joined H-T and the person who did this fabricated a plate that was mounted on top of the coupes mount location(back of the bumper), but had holes placed where they would line up to the sedan fender. Does this make sense?
Cool, thanks. I bought this Civic Monday, and it has some front end damage. Was considering throwing on a coupe front bumper since it has cutout for the oem foglights. Also geting a CF hood to replace the damaged one, but I only see them on Ebay for the coupe. Everything looks so similar to me between the coupe and sedan, I suppose it'll just take time to notice all the odds and ends.
