Default b20 turbo

i got a garret .60 trim trubo and the down pipe i have makes it so the intake side has to be on the tranny side of the motor. there one problem.. the turbo is to big and hit the bell housing a little bit, right where it reads the engine code on the little metal half moon part that goes from the tranny to the block. has anyone ever heard of shaving that down to make it fit???? and if i do shave it down enough to make it fit is that going to really effect anything?

i've seen people shave the intake side of the turbo just a bit to get it to fit. But what you can also do it flip the turbo the other way around, where the intake turbo faces the powersteering and ac side. Hope this helps a bit

you can trim the block if the clearance is very close to gain that extra little space.
