what kind of tires did your rsx-s come with?
i have an '03 rsx-s in need of some new tires and was wondering what kind of tires your car came with. the reason i am asking is because on the front, i have some pirelli's, and on the rear i have yokohama's. the rears look to be a little thinner than the ones in the front. and it's the rear tires that need to be replaced.
i bought this car used and never bothered to ask the previous owner. so ... can anyone help?
thanks

Honestly, they're just so-so at best. Even magazine reviews regularly commented that the RSX needed better tires. Feel free to get whatever you want.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Which models of Pirelli and Yokohama tires?
For two of the sets of street tires I have now, I went with the user reviews & ratings at Tire Rack's website (www.tirerack.com , of course
). What was said about my previous tires (Dunlop FM-901, for example) was spot-on, so I decided to go with what was being rated high and got good owner reviews.
I'd say, if you want to get a new pair to match what's already on the car, check out what they say on that site. It's well-used and popular enough that, collectively, it's pretty reliable.
A side note: I'd further recommend that, whatever tires you get, put the new pair on the back of the car. If you have to make sudden maneuvers, it's safer to have a little understeer than have the car snap-oversteer into a spin. Newer, fresher tires in the back will help keep the back end planted.
