Default ATTS - worth getting fixed?

Hey guys,

I've searched the archives and no one really answered my question. Actually, I just want some opinions. 1 thing I did find out by looking in the archives: ATTS is really expensive to fix (I figured it was)

I have a 98 SH. I'll be driving normally down the highway and the ATTS light comes on. I'm gonna get the code and see exactly what the problem is, but here's my main question: If something is really wrong with the ATTS, do you guys think it is worth $800 -$1000 to get it fixed? I know it won't hurt the car to drive it with the ATTS disengaged, but I would love to have the ATTS working, because it's fun and I hate that little orange light! BUT, I think about the stuff I could do with $800 and it makes me sick to spend that if it's not gonna make that much of a difference. I just ordered an EVO 2 Exhaust and a DC header (not the best, but i'm not racing anyone) and I'd like to get some wheels. What would you do about the ATTS? Thanks

Well, find out what code it is. You don't know that it'll be $1000.

That's what I'm gonna do. And if it's not too much to fix, then I'm definitely going to. But, so I don't have to keep bothering everyone with this question (I know there are tons of ATTS questions in the archives), if it turns out that it needs to be replaced or whatever, do you think it's worth that much to do it?
