A fellow member nyblksi is going to mount his retrofit today but he would like suggestion to where he can mount the ballast in the engine bay i know we tried a few spots but it always looks tacky. If anyone has mounted them in a good or stealthy location please post pics or give a good description of were you mounted them thanks in advanced.

Its his camera.... and the reason why I didn't post this is because I'm on my sidekick and it takes a lot longer..thanks!

you need a new sidekick Mine works fine.

Anyhow
you can't really answer this question ... because everyones mods are different
someone with an Injen Cai, would have different locations as someone with an OEM air box etc etc.

There are tons of spots
Just don't be ghetto and put them in your engine bay.

 

Some people mount the ballast mounting bracket there. Seems like a good spot. Nice and hidden.

So you don't consider this the engine bay its where the engine is mounted yea there are plenty of spots but most still look tacky he is looking for the most hidden spot used by others but thanks anyway at this point he has found a solution =/

This is why i get pushed to 8thgen more and more its way more helpful

 

If they are the thin ballasts, mount them under the actual headlight
