earl scheib - quality of their paint
i know paint jobs turn out good cause of their prep...so thats why im preping my car myself and bringing it to earl scheib...my question is, how good is the paint and clear coat earl scheib uses?? will the quality of the paint and clear coat earl schieb uses make a difference in the long run as in fade or not become as shiny as if i just bought my own base and clear coat and told them if they could just use mines and shoot it??
I would not recommend earl scheib. One friend painted his car black and it had a ton of orange peal. The paint job was like $500. Another friend had his car painted yellow for about 500 and 3 months later the paint was flaking off. I don't know how much money you plan on spending, but remember you get what you pay for and paint is a major part of any car.
im pretty sure its owned by different people, so it REALLY changes throughout every one. check the official maaco thread, some people from there posted up. some of them came out nice, some like crap. it also helps to see whos actually painting yoru car, talk to them, and maybe throw them some extra cash personally before/after if they do a nice job. that will sway them to take their time sometimes
i think i need to be more specific hah...i basically wanna know if there would be a difference in the paint they use and the paint i give them to use that would cost me 300 alone...soo if its the same person painting their paint and my paint, would there be a difference in the out come later on?? same for clear coat they use and i give them...thanks
