weve all heard it a million times some of us like it most of us hate it. oppinions aside id like to know what exactly are the factors in making an exhaust raspy and what things make it clear.

 

usually when you buy some cheap ebay muffler and cut out the cat is when the exhaust gets raspy. i've even heard a tanabe medallion muffler sounding like a million bees. exhaust leaks don't help either.

 

i heard tanabe had a really deep not raspy sound. and how much does the actual engine contribute to the raspyness. cuz its seems like if you have a shity engine itll sound like **** no matter what. what exactly causes the raspyness. is it a matter of air flowing through the pipes wrong? or something like that?
