CR-V......Overall satisfaction>?
Looking for a new DD this fall.........
I'm kind of between an EK civic or a 2000 (or earlier) CR-V
Just wondering how satisfied you owners are with the cars since there isnt much info on them and this forum is not very big.

there's more info on hondasuv.com, its about honda suv's (duh). overall though, most people wish the crv got better gas mileage and/or had more power. i get about 22-28 mpg regularly and tow my 12ft aluminum fishing boat around easily as well. a/c sucks *** though, the car is too big for the a/c system. i like the 1g crv's though, they work well on-road and handle better than anything else that's tall, short of a porsche/bmw suv..
My cr-v is great. In 2wd mode it gets about 32mpg. As far as the a/c mine is a refrigerator on wheels.
But it's all up to you and your preferences. If you get a 1st gen I would advise getting a 99-01 just because it gets upgraded interior and more power.
The civic will get you better gas mileage, but the cr-v gives you more space and better crash protection.
