Default New head bolts are necessary at rebuild !?

I am planing to put an new piston ring set in my engine,are new head bolts necessary ?

you are better off getting arp head studs instead - performance, utility, and price-wise

necessary no worth it yes. headbolts tend to stretch over time but i have reused them plenty of times. but if you have a extra $150 get some arp headstuds. def worth the money.

You can use the old ones but it's not recomended. And i definately wouldn't use the old ones if the motor has a lot of miles on it. The ARP studs are great and can actually be used again if you need to take the head off again down the road.
