Are you wanting to make the car slower? Big brakes plug big wheels = big drag on the engine from the weight.

If you do anything, get some VTEC calipers and good pads (Hawk HPS are good) and if you need it, some new blank rotors.

Right, no drilled or slotted rotors in front. They only weaken the rotor.

I use drilled rotors in the rear of my racecar because they last forever and are lighter.

Yes , blanks are just solid...no need for holes in your rotors that will crack eventually.

Brembo blanks from autozone+ Hawk pads = brake seX

Powerslots are nice rotors for hondas, and they dont crack.

And theyre also a waste of money....I pay $25/each for rotors I turn 20-30min sessions on with full blown track pads and they are still perfect....
Power slot/cross drilled......just for show.

Weird I got my power slots for 50 a set,so no waste of money for me then considering they were the same as oem,and look nicer, lol.

Honestly there alot of debate on this topic, but my argument remains if the slotted rotors are useless why do they put them on top end cars straight from the factory? Some say just for sales, but I bet the engineers have a reason.Im sure they have a better grasp on braking than most. For daily driving I belive oem brakes are more than adequate, but through my own personal experience,I need more for my driving style.....Ive upgraded my pads/fluid/lines/and rotors and my car stops like a champ w minmal fading,no matter what Im doing, track days or autosrossin,or just carving up a mountain road,I have the braking response I need when I need it and its consistent. My oem set up was no where near my set up today.

Just my .02.

Cross-Drilled /Slotted Rotors

The second thing you can do to improve your brake performance is often to go to a larger rotor. We all know that this gives the rotor further ability to dissipate heat away from the pads through itself and through the air (conductive and convective heat transfer). So obviously a larger pad, a larger rotor, or both result in better brake performance by avoiding brake fade.

But what about cross drilled or slotted rotors? Well the common belief in the main stream is that somehow slotted or cross-drilled rotors allow for better performance by handling heat. This is 100 percent false. The individuals involved in such fallacies mention that air through the holes or slots work to cool the rotor (convective heat transfer into the air from the rotor). The issue is that from physics we know that metal transfers heat better then air by a significant amount. As such the larger mass of the rotor becomes more important then the larger surface area of the rotor in any situation other then the optimal. Cross drilling and slotting rotors are not optimal manners of creating metal to air transfer through larger surface areas. There is not much airflow through the holes or slots. Furthermore for cross drilling the holes will fill with brake dust in effect lowering the cooling ability of the rotors vanes they pass through.

just science..........

so it appears we have a few different thorys , views or however we want to say it
i am more confuzed than anything
i know what i like
i know what i think looks kewl
i thought i was asking a simple question
i wasnt trying to start the debate of the century
i thought the drilled/slotted rotors looked kewl
wasnt sure how they would hold up
unfourtunatly i still dont
i have read different opinions
i have read websites selling them
i guess i will have to go out and look for what i like and if its not good the nill know better nexttime
and my deepest apologies to anyone i have offended with my mis spelling of VTEC
the bad part is i was just looking at a element sc with the I-VTEC engine
of wich i fell hard
i want one (but my prelude goes no where thats my toy) the element is for work
anyhow guys thanx for the input now i have decisions to make.........but hey i still need tires for my new wheels but i digress thats another post for another day

For daily driving any rotors will hold up fine, from oem to ebay to brembo, they will all be fine.Oem will warp eventually as will the ebays,I have no personal exp w brembos or rotoara's or any other high dollar rotor,so cant speak for them.Any will be fine.
