yah i know search but i couldnt find a direct answer,
So it was leaking slow at first, but then i open my hood and theres oil all around the belts and alternator and power steering belt. Also oil in the wheel well and under the car running down the side. all on the driver side. Can an oil pan gasket get that bad that fast or is this one of them main seals?

Your valve cover gasket may be gone, have you looked in that area? It could be a bunch of places..
Fill the car up with oil to the top of the dipstick hole level and clean up all the oil.. Jack up the car and pop in jackstands underneath.. Then start the car and see if you can see where the oil is coming from. You can also tape or secure a wad of tissues/paper towels to areas where you think it's coming from.. Then you can check back in a few days or a day after, and see if it's leaking from there.

i replaced the valve cover gasket a while ago and no oil is out of it. 99% of the oil is on the ground, on the splash guard. Theres no oil coming from the cam, my cam cap is off. Just alot of oil at the lower end. I just noticed this tonight so i couldn't really check everything yet.
But is it passable for a oil pan gasket to shoot that much oil out? I assume it was mostly coming out when i was driving cause its all down the bottom of my car. it went from a slow leak to a very fast leak.

Hello,
I might be able to help you. I have a 1992 accord and when i drive and stop smoke comes from oil leaking onto exaust pipes . I chased it down and found the oil coming out rapidly at idle a big puddle, it seems to be coming from the oil filter housing (not the filter itself) im gonna try the gasket between the oil filter housing and the motor, I hope that fixes it for you too. That main seal stuff scares me , i;ll repost what i find out. Good luck!!

Thread and original posters is from 13 years ago. As well only one trim (rare trim at that) has the oil cooler your accord does so your fix doesn't apply to 98% of the EG's on the road.
