My friend and I have been debating about fitment for JDM ITR B PIPE on the USDM ITR CAT. He told me that his Jdm itr b pipe (DC5 type r) fits the USDM RSX Type S cat, though i told him RSXs are different. So the question raises that, does jdm dc2 itr b pipe go on usdm dc2 itr cat without any cut and weld?

I say no, because JDM itr cat are made smaller to fit JDM itr b pipe because it's length is longer than USDM b pipe. Therefore, Jdm b pipe will not go on usdm cat without cut and weld or have it stick out/ it wont go on the cat because jdm b pipe has a bigger collector by about .25". I did a search but nothing really showed up, Can anyone confirm or correct?

 

To use a jdm length header with a usdm test pipe, and a jdm b-pipe, the jdm b-pipe must be shortened by 4 inches.

Your best bet is to try the RSX forums, we usually just deal with the DC2 Type Rs.

maybe you should keep reading on or you got confuse in the middle. That was my friend's evidence used towards the idea that USDM DC2 ITR CAT will fit on to JDM DC2 ITR B-PIPE b/c It worked with his USDM RSX TYPE S CAT w/ JDM DC5 R B-PIPE. Which i disagree and need to confirm if I am correct
